The Everist Climb
Each event that I have had the honor of planning and designing holds a special place in my memory. There comes a time when all your experience, knowledge, and preparedness meets an opportunity that will challenge you beyond what you have done before. That for me, was the Everist wedding in June of 2023.
The Everist family are some of the most kind and generous people I have ever met. Their goal was to celebrate Ellie and Kutler, and also make sure their guests had a weekend to remember.
I will never forget the first tour of the horse arena and discussing the vision plan ahead. I could see the room perfectly, filled with wooden tables, colorful wildflowers, chandeliers, draping, champagne toasts, and vibing music. All we had left to do was plan the work, and work the plan. Something I love most.

We absolutely needed an ‘A Team’ — and I knew exactly who that would be. Ideal Tent & Events joined the magic and truly made the transformation happen. Sourcing and shipping custom flooring, full room custom drape installations, electrical adjustments for the chandeliers, multiple tent locations, and last but definitely not least, air conditioning duct install.
The night before, guests were invited to celebrate the rehearsal dinner at a tented property, and then enjoy a private hour train ride tour around Sioux Falls with food and wine.
Back to the arena, where our team worked endlessly on fresh hanging greenery, custom builds (thanks JRE hubbies), fresh flower installations, layout finalizing, and tabletop touches.
This allowed our team and myself to arrive at an entirely new level of design, planning, and service. I am beyond proud and thankful for those I worked alongside with and the opportunity that we were given! Cheers to more transformations and unforgettable experiences ahead.
