  • The internship at Jane Rae is like nothing I have ever experienced before. Here are three reasons you should be an intern at Jane Rae! The people: The ladies at Jane Rae are not only some of the smartest people I know, but also the kindest. They handle every conversation and situation with kindness and care. They take a genuine interest in the interns' lives and include them in the staff outings. They are easy to talk to and even easier to work with! The work: I learned so much about the event industry during my internship at Jane Rae. The internship is set up to expose you to the different facets of the industry including client meetings, event prep and design, event set up and tear down, and event coordination. The structure of the internship helped me recognize my strengths, but more importantly grow my weaknesses. It is a fast paced work environment, and the days are over before you even know it! The fun: I truly had a blast at this internship. I made so many memories and friendships that I will not soon forget. Apply for this internship! You won't regret it!

  • β€œThis internship was one of the best experiences ever, and I can truly say I will never forget the memories, experiences, and friends I made while at Jane Rae. I’ll be the first to admit I was very nervous about starting this new journey, but I am so so so happy I did! This company knows how to welcome you in and make you feel like family! There are countless opportunities for growth not only in the knowledge of this industry but also growth within yourself. There is something new to learn everyday that way you can truly find out if this industry is for you. I am lucky enough to have found my passion, and I never want to leave this industry! Besides growing my passion for this industry, one of the most valuable things this internship has taught me was how to take chances and to trust in yourself, in your design, and your leadership skills. This will definitely go down in the books as one of the best summers ever!”

    TESS | SUMMER 2021

  • β€œMy internship at Jane Rae was nothing short of incredible. I learned so many new things each day and I came out of the experience a brand new person. It's hard to explain just how amazing my time here was, but I'm going to try in just three short ways:

    1. Confidence is KEY. Finding my confidence and learning to use it was probably the most important thing I learned while at Jane Rae. Whether it's packing for the weekend or actually setting up an event, you have to have confidence in what you're doing. Second guessing yourself is the worst thing to do, and the Jane Rae ladies really helped me see that.

    2. Don't be afraid to ask questions, ever. This was a big one for me during my internship. The ladies at Jane Rae are so awesome in that they quite literally trust you from the start. As soon as you walk in the doors, they're giving you tasks to do with full confidence you can complete them. While this trust was much appreciated, at times I felt like I didn't deserve it. There were more than a few moments where I was totally lost and had no clue what I was doing. I quickly learned that the best way to solve that is to just ask questions. Katie, Rach, and Ashley were never once upset with me for asking them a question. I think they actually appreciated that I was asking how to do things correctly rather than just throwing something together and hoping it would be okay.

    3. Last but not least, put yourself out there! I struggled so much with the networking events and social events that we participated in at Jane Rae. I was scared to do the wrong thing so I just hid in the back and counted down the hours until it was over. That is the WRONG thing to do! Do not be like me!! Looking back, I so wish I would've forced myself to be better in those situations, because I really missed out on some meaningful moments.

Like I said earlier, the Jane Rae internship is amazing. I truly had the best summer working there and I'm so sad to be moving on. The Jane Rae ladies will always hold a special place in my heart!”

    MERCEDE | SUMMER 2020

  • β€œWhere do I even start… This semester has been one for the books. The learning. The laughter. The friendship. Katie, Rachel, and Ashley were so willing to answer my endless questions and help me grow as a future event planner. They are filled with endless knowledge about this business and life in general. They’ve helped me grow so much this semester. I’ve grown as a leader, a professional, a designer, a problem solver, and as a person. I’ve led meetings, made timelines and proposals, created designs, set up and tore down weddings, and assisted on day of coordinations. As an intern you have the chance to do it all and I’ve learned incredible things from the Jane Rae team. My biggest takeaway though, is always be passionate and willing to learn. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to have worked with this amazing team.”

    HEIDI | SUMMER 2019

  • β€œThis summer I have learned so much about the event industry and specifically about weddings. It is hard to sum it all up but if I had to narrow it down, these would be the top 5 things I am taking away from this amazing internship:

    1. There is something new to learn each and every day. Each day you get the opportunity to be creative, dream up new ideas, and make them a reality!

    2. Team is EVERYTHING! You have to trust your team members, work well together, and be on the same page. Weddings would be impossible to pull off without a great team and an awesome leader.

    3. While classic and timeless touches never go out of style, new and upcoming trends are totally worth considering.

    4. Wedding planning may seem like a glamorous job but let me tell you it requires much more hard work, sweat, and problem-solving than you would think!

    5. The world of events – specifically weddings – is where I want to be. I love being able to serve people in this way and am so excited to continue to learn about this field of work.”
