Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

Last month, May 2024, I had the privilege of working with some incredible clients on their romantic garden themed wedding. It was such an amazing planning process and the wedding day was an absolute blast. When thinking about what part of their day I wanted to share about I realized that all of the details of the day would not have even been possible without all of the incredible vendors. I think it can be easy to look at a photo from a wedding and think “wow that's really pretty,” and it is, but it’s more than that. It takes so many people to make those pretty things happen. So this is a huge thank you to all of the wonderful vendors that made Shelby and Keegen’s wedding celebration possible.

A moment for the florals. While collectively at Jane Rae we “do flowers,” that really means our floral team; Irany, Becky and Rebecca. A three women powerhouse team that creates beautiful arrangements and installations week in and week out. They did all of the floral for this wedding from the incredibly over the top ceremony arch to the creation of a wall of moss for the seating chart. They are truly a dream team! The seating chart also featured custom vinyl and acrylic from a local vendor, Prairie Skye Creations. The welcome sign featured beautiful calligraphy from Cassandra Swenson and it was a great way to welcome guests into the ceremony space.

The backdrop for all of these beautiful things was our venue, located right in Downtown Sioux Falls. Monick Yards is new in the venue game but they have their systems down to near perfection with great managers and incredible bar staff. The team rocked out everything from a champagne welcome to the couple’s selected signature cocktails. The ladies got to spend the day in the spacious bridal suite and enjoy champagne and a charcuterie board from Cultivated in Love; all while getting their hair and makeup done from two incredibly talented ladies, Beauty by Kat and Angelique with Platinum Imagination Hair and Makeup.

The details on the tables were a combination of beautiful linens from BBJ Linens, custom table numbers from Brandi Goebel Design, our florals, and gold flatware from Ideal Tent and Event Rentals to really add that final touch.

Guests enjoyed a delicious meal from Chef Dominiques and some delicious ice cream for dessert from Stenslands Ice Cream. The ice cream cart that was decorated by the cutest little bar from White Kangaroo. For entertainment, guests got to experience DJ Jer during dinner and Blue Water Kings Band from Minneapolis for the rest of the evening.

Shelby and Keegen’s wedding day was truly one for the books and it was captured by our photographers, Luke and Savannah, our videographer, Harberts Media and our content creator, Quinn and Co.

I cannot thank these vendors enough for such an amazing day; and the next time you experience an incredible event I hope you know, it takes a village.
